I am a collection
of the people
I have loved.
From each
friend and lover
I take parts
and am changed permenantly,
they always live with me
inside my head
and my heart
my books
and my music.
It is my profoundest hope
that I have made
as great an
impression
upon them
as they have made
on me.
What sorrow may be felt
on the eave of departure
is overshadowed by far
by the eternal love
and intimacy
of those who have changed my life.
They are always with us.
